Experience
I have served in many different roles during my 30 years of legal experience. My experience in the military,
public, and private sector have given me a diverse range of experiences that allow me to represent clients
with a high level of success. I have served as a Claims Officer, Defense Attorney, and Military Judge in
the U.S. Army JAG Corps. In the public sector, I have served as a City Attorney for 6 years and as an
Assistant Prosecutor.
My legal experience covers all areas of law including family law, estate planning, wills and trusts, real estate,
business and corporate law, as well as injury claims and criminal defense, including DWI and traffic violations.
I am trained and certified as a Family Law Mediator, a distinction few attorneys’ posses.
My career as a trial lawyer in both civil and criminal cases is highly successful. I have represented numerous
clients resulting in dismissals and "Not Guilty" verdicts in both felony and misdemeanor cases. I have represented
clients who have been injured in car accidents, truck accidents, and slip and fall cases resulting in fair
compensation for these injuries and damages.
I have also successfully helped clients secure a fair award for breach of contract, trespass, and assault cases.
Family and Personal
Family has always been important to me and my wife, Marilyn. In fact, it is the reason we moved from Chillicothe,
MO to St. Charles County. Marilyn's parents live in Florissant and both of our sons and their families live
in Missouri. Our oldest son, Bryan, and his family live in O'Fallon, MO. Our youngest son, Christopher, and
his family live in Blue Springs, MO.
I enjoy reading, golfing, and trout fishing as recreation but love to spend time with my grandchildren most.
Marilyn and I are actively involved in our Church and community. In the past, we have been involved with Boy
Scouts, the American Legion, and a whole host of sports teams....I even had the pleasure to coach my sons'
baseball teams.
